Traffic on Good Hope Road at the north end of Uniontown.
The Sanitary Grocery warehouse actually stood on the west side of
the tracks leading to Union Station. The building still
stands. I've managed to capture the style and color, but not the
size.
Abbey Etna was a machine shop in my hometown. Here, the back
wall is cutaway so you look through the shop.
Fractured Furniture takes its name from the "Fractured Fairy Tales"
feature on the Rocky and Bullwinkle show.
The line of buildings in front of Fractured Furniture are (l to r):
Ray Z Kane ("raisin cain") Moving & Storage, Union Hall, Art's
Welding, and The Glory of God in Heaven and on Earth Universal Church
(just your typical DC storefront church).
Patriot Metals, a scrap metal shipper, located in the foreground.
Steuart Petroleum is based on the Walther's kit. I opened the back
freight door.
The end of the Patriot Metals spur in the foreground.
One of the best views looking down the shelf toward Sanitary Grocery.
The grade crossing is for Portland St. The hoppers on right are
waiting for pickup by the Pepco Coal Extra.
Nearly the same location at night.
